Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo has broken a major new social media record by becoming the first person to reach 400 million followers on Instagram.

By September 2021, the striker had 237 million followers, making him the most followed person on the app, a number that has grown exponentially in a matter of months.
3,242 posts, with an average of 10 million likes per post, and only 500 users.
Reality TV star Kylie Jenner came second with over 308 million followers and Lionel Messi third with 306 million.
Famous British TV presenter Piers Morgan shared a photo of himself with the Manchester United striker on Twitter. He wrote: “Congratulations on being the first to reach 400 million followers on Instagram. Undisputed GOAT on social media, ps he only follows 500 people including me… when he sees a good guy he’ll recognise a person.”
