He got raised in Chicago, where his father Constantine Chelios owned a Greek restaurant by the same Tselios. Later in 1977, his family moved to Poway, California. However, he finished his prep education at Mira Mesa Senior High School in San Diego. Additionally, he was a fan of the Chicago Blackhawks when he was a kid and used to be focused on football.
Chris Chelios is back again to the ESPN studio analyst seat alongside Mark Messier and Barry Melrose, after the channel regained the rights to broadcast NHL. He also served as roster analyst for the network channel back in 2016.

Tracee and Chris Chelios met each other at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, when they were just students. They started off as high school lovers, before they got married and now have children of their own.
Chris Chelios has owned Cheli’s Chili Bar-branded eateries and bars in both Chicago and Detroit. The initial facility debuted on West Madison Street in Chicago in the 1990s, but it shuttered after he joined the Red Wings. Chris has expressed interest in starting a brand-new eatery near Chicago.
